a stunning living/dining room filled with original beams, exposed stone walls,
a large dining kitchen, an impressive
master bedroom with ensuite and 2 further bedrooms along with a main bathroom.
St Sauveur le Vicomte is 5km away and
is certainly worth a visit. Its' famous castle, delightful bar/restaurant plus an excellent supermarket is only a few minutes away
Outdoor markets selling fresh local produce are also a short drive away and are well worth a visit and should not be missed!
La Vaquerie is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful and historic Normandy region. Just 45 minutes from the port of Cherbourg and a short drive to the stunning sandy beaches and restaurants at Carteret and Portbail.
The historical D Day landing beaches, Juno, Omaha, Sword, Gold and Utah are all within easy reach. You can also visit the historic towns of St Mere Eglise, Honfleur and Bayeaux the home of the famous tapestry
depicting the famous battle of 1066 and William the Conqueror.
Further along the coast lies the dramatic 11th-century monastic abbey of Le Mont-Saint-Michel and also the art decco town of Granville where Christian Dior's residence, now a museum can be found.
For those wanting to visit the romantic city of Paris it can be reached by car in just 3 hours and by train in less.
Golf, tennis, horse riding and various beach sports are all available within 20 minutes from the gite.
